Flop Kannada Huchcha Venkat re-released after a year on Friday to a roaring reception.
The film acted, directed and produced by Huchcha Venkat released in 50 theatres all over the state, 12 in Bangalore alone, reports Bangalore Mirror.
As the now famous actor went around the theatres, police struggled to control the surge of fans.
Huchcha Venkat had released on November 28, 2014 and set a dubious record with its utter flop show. It had managed to sell only 17 tickets on its first day.
So, what explains the dramatic turnaround of the movie?
In the intervening period, Huchcha Venkat emerged as a big name in the industry with a string of controversies, developing his own fan base along the way.
Ironically, the flop show sparked the revival in his career.
