Malaysia’s Rayani Air follows Shariat laws – prayers, halal food, no alcohol, airhostesses in hijab (Watch Video)

Rayani Air, a fully Shariat-compliant Malaysian airline, launched its first flight on Sunday between Kuala Lumpur to the resort island of Langkawi.  A prayer was announced before take off. Food was strictly halal and there was no alcohol on board. Airhostesses came dressed in hijab, while non-Muslim crew were fully clothed.

Rayani Air, a fully Shariat-compliant Malaysian airline, launched its first flight on Sunday between Kuala Lumpur to the resort island of Langkawi.

A prayer was announced before take off. Food was strictly halal and there was no alcohol on board. Airhostesses came dressed in hijab, while non-Muslim crew were fully clothed.

A video of Rayani Air's first flight shows prayers being announced on the public speakers and passengers joining in from their seats.

A spokesperson of Rayani Air told reporters that the airline was committed to following Shariat or Islamic rules. In the coming days, the adherence to Shariat code would be refined, he said.
