A slice of the latest episode of Al Jazeera's Head to Head programme, which features BJP General Secretary Ram Madhav has gone viral.

The episode, Is Modi's India flirting with fascism? explores the rise of right-wing Hindu nationalism in India.

It shows Ram Madhav using the phrase "Your ISIS" while speaking to Mehdi Hasan, who hosted the show. The well-known British journalist latched on to the comment.

Answering a question from Mehdi Hasan, Ram Madhav said, “You worry about many more things that are happening. Your ISIS can catch hold of nuclear weapons.”

Taken aback, Hassan exclaimed, ‘My ISIS?’

Ram Madhav tried to carry on with his argument, but Mehdi Hasan was unrelenting. He again interrupted and said, “But you said my ISIS.”

If Mehdi Hasan expected an apology, Ram Madhav was too nervous or busy to offer one.

He continued without missing a beat: “Your ISIS in the sense ISIS can catch hold of nuclear weapons. Worry about their system.”
