Bugatti’s upcoming Veyron-replacement, the Chiron, has made a splash unofficial debut as the world’s fastest car. It will race from 0 to 60 mph in 2.2 seconds and will cap a top speed of 290 mph.
If the claims hold true, Chiron would have beat its rivals by at least by about 20 mph to snatch the world’s fastest title.
A video released by Bugatti in Italian with English subtitles gives a peep into the engineering that went into Chiron.
Chiron will gain 1,500 horsepower and 1,107 pound-feet of torque from a quad-turbocharged 8.0-liter W16 engine.
