Scared Gujarat lion tries to escape by swimming across Arabian sea (Watch video)

A lion was rescued in the coastal city of Jafrabad in Amreli District of Gujarat after it jumped to sea.

The lion was spotted on a rocky stretch of the beach and officials are trying to figure out how it got there.

As a crowd gathered, the lion looking disoriented jumped into the sea to find an escape route.

While lions are good swimmers, it would have been a little optimistic for this lion to try to cross the Arabian sea all by itself.

Luckily, for it, the water was shallow and it managed not to drown.

Forest department officials, who were alerted, came and rescued the lion after tranquilising it.
