In a terrifying accident at Mumbai's Borivali station last week, a middle-aged woman came under the wheels of a running train while trying to get down.
The profusely bleeding victim, who has been identified as Kirandevi Kothari, 55, was taken to a hospital, where she was declared ‘brought dead’.
The unfortunate incident took place when the Vadodara Express was pulling out of Borivali station and was captured on a CCTV camera.

Though the accident occurred on January 15, the video went viral on Whats App on Wednesday drawing media attention.

Railway officials said the group had some confusion on its destination and delayed deboarding at the Borivali station, where the train stops for only two minutes.
The CCTV footage shows a woman jumping off first, followed by a man who was Kothari's nephew. After he pulls out the luggage, the orange saree-clad Kothari gets down.

Railway police told The Indian Express that the train was immediately stopped and reversed to rescue the victim. She was rushed to the hospital where she was declared brought dead.
Kothari had sustained injuries and was bleeding heavily from her mouth and nose.
