Hrithik Roshan and Kangana Ranaut have gone public with their ire, giving meat to a longstanding gossip that both had a bitter fallout after a short fling last year.
Though without naming each other, they have broken the Bollywood's golden rule of not commenting on personal relationship or on ex partners.
Hrithik tweeted on Thursday that there were more chances of him having had an affair with the Pope than with any of the women media had linked him to.
"Thanks, but no thanks," he added.
He did not name anyone, but the tweet seems to be a response to a nasty comment Kangana had recently made against an ex boy friend, and again, without naming anyone. That was widely seen as a remark against Hrithik.
Hrithik is considering an offer to star in Aashiqui 3. During discussions with T-Series, the producer of the movie, he reportedly insisted that Kangana, who was also being considered, would have to be dropped.
It may have been just a rumour given that Hrithik himself is yet to commit to the project. But that did not stop motormouth Kangana from reacting.
She told Miss Malini website that even a "dumb ass could figure out where these rumours were coming from" and put the blame on an ex boyfriend.
"I don’t know why exes do silly things to get your attention. For me that chapter is over and I don’t dig graves,” she commented.
While it is said that Kangana was emotional about him, Hrithik for some reason was not willing to commit to her. He not only avoided any public appearance with her, but also went out of his way to dismiss all talks of an affair as trash.
