Emerging Bollywood star Arjun Kapoor is allegedly the man behind Malaika's split from her husband Arbaaz Khan, despite rumours that a British businessman has come into the picture.
The couple had drifted apart over the last two years and become estranged.
The rift was clear in the shooting of the TV show Power Couple during which Arbaaz and Malaika were barely on talking terms. Malaika did not turn up after a few episodes, forcing Arbaaz to manage it alone.
Spotboye, a well informed Bollywood website, reported on Friday that Malaika had shifted to an apartment at Khar along with son Arhaan.
SpotBoye again reported on Saturday saying the finger is being pointed at Arjun for the split.
Arjun, who was dating Malaiká's sister-in-law Arpita, was also linked with her. It was widely related that Malaik-Arjun affair started around 2011 and lasted for two or three years.
In a 2014 interview Malaika dismissed it as false but also admitted that Arbaaz had discussed the issue with her.
