Airlift is unlikely to catch up with Dilwale's Rs 350 crore-plus performance |
Airlift, Akshay Kumar's magnum opus, has failed to match Shahrukh Khan movie Dilwale's first week box office performance.
Airlift, which released on January 22, made Rs 83.5 crore in domestic market and Rs 26.5 crore overseas in the first seven days.
After seven days, Shahrukh Khan's Dilwale had made Rs 102 crore and Rs 80 crore respectively.
But Dilwale's domestic collection dipped drastically after first week as it was hit by bad reviews and also by the intolerance controversy.
Airlift had a good run till Jan 26 and dropped after that. It may get a weekend bump and keep its momentum thanks to word of mouth buzz.
But it is unlikely to catch up with Dilwale's Rs 350 crore-plus performance, which kicked in due to a stunning overseas performance.
