Bollywood actress and producer Pooja Bhatt is working on a web-only series, which will tell 12 stories of women dealing with their orgasm issues.
Pooja will start shooting for the web series, which have been titled Oh. Each series will feature a different actress and tell a story of female orgasm.
The idea behind the series is not to provoke Pahlaj Nihalani or compete with Sunny Leone, but to use orgasms as gateways to capture the suppression of female sexuality.
In an interview with Mid Day, Pooja said Indian women are told that only bad girls have sex. They are trained to suppress their own pleasure and cater to the needs of men who seek virgin brides to evade competition.
Oh focuses on the individualistic needs of the women whose stories are narrated.
There is a Bhojpuri actress, who has never been turned on, a prostitute, who mentors a young girl, a Mumbai producer's wife and a widow, who at 50 experiences the pleasure of sex for the first time.
Pooja told Ahmedabad Mirror that a Bohri lady spoke to her about genital mutilation. Another woman, a mistress, said she feared the man she slept with and spoke about how he would withhold orgasm from her.
"I want to tell all these stories,” Pooja told the Mirror.
