An unidentified young man jumped to his death from a bridge near railway station in Madurai on Thursday.
The shocking incident unfolded in full public and was caught on camera.
A video of the incident, which was telecast by Tamil news channels, shows the man on the arch of the bridge. Two onlookers also got on to the bridge to try to get him down.
As they got near him, he leapt and came tumbling down hitting an electric pole along the way.
