On the first day of the Budget session in Rajya Sabha, the highlight of the debate was the angry exchange between BSP boss Mayawati and Union HRD Minister Smriti Irani.
The topic of contention wasHyderabad university student Rohith Vemula’s suicide.
Smriti Irani got a little dramatic and asked Mayawati not to play politics over a dead child’s body. She even offered to cut off her head and lay it on Mayawati’s feet.
