The first total solar eclipse of 2016 threw its mesmerising  spectacle over parts of Indonesia and parts of Indian and Pacific Oceans, on Wednesday morning, India time.  Thanks to clear skies, the rare sight was visible to 40 million people within its narrow path. It did not disappoint the eclipse chasers who travelled from around the world to witness it.

The first total solar eclipse of 2016 threw its mesmerising  spectacle over parts of Indonesia and parts of Indian and Pacific Oceans, on Wednesday morning, India time.
