The total solar eclipse centering at Indonesia was an exciting moment for Nasa.
It flew a team of scientists to Micronesia to carry out experiments on the solar limb in a three minute window the spectacle offered.
It also gave a real time coverage of the eclipse on Nasa TV and a minutes-by-minutes account on Twitter. For a slightly more technical account of the eclipse follow Nasa@exploratorium.
