Kannada superstar Darshan's wife Vijayalakshmi reportedly filed a police complaint on Wednesday night accusing him of harassment.
Darshan allegedly stood in front of her apartment at Hosakerehalli, Bangalore, and created a scene, reports The Times of India.
Vijayalakshmi and the couple's eight-year-old son were not at home when the alleged incident took place. The security guard of the apartment has also reportedly filed a complaint alleging the actor abused him as well.
Vijayalakshmi has requested the police to summon the actor and advise him to desist from humiliating and harassing her. TOI quoted DCP (south) BS Lokesh Kumar saying the police have received a complaint and are looking into it.
The New Indian Express said Darshan had gone to his wife’s residence to take back his car when the alleged incident occurred.
Darshan had spent 14 days in jail in 2011 after his wife had complained to police accusing him of domestic violence. The couple had fought in a car, following which he had allegedly assaulted her.
Darshan's proximity to actress Nikita Thukral was said to be the cause of the marital discord.
The issue had been sorted out of court largely due to the intervention of senior actor and minister Ambareesh. Though the couple resolved to sort out their differences, they had again separated and living independently over the last year.
