Video: Umar Khalid’s kid sister Sarah Fatima goes viral – steals hearts in JNU with lal salaam cry

Sarah Fatima, the 11-year-old sister of Umar Khalid, spoke on Friday in JNU, stealing the thunder from her brother who spoke after her.

Her message was brief – the fight will continue till everyone gets justice. DU professors SAR Gilani and GN Saibaba, should be released, she added.

Sarah’s impressive stage presence, which put its stamp on an already boisterous crowd, and her surprising sloganeering took a video, which caught her in action, viral.

When she came to speak, the crowd continued to chant inquilab and lal salaam flustering her a little. You can see JNU VP Shehala Rashid in the background trying ask the crowd to calm down and let Sarah speak.

But then it was Sarah’s turn to raise lal salaam slogans, which she did with a gusto that caught everyone by surprise.

She had earlier spoken at a rally urging her brother to carry on with his fight for theright causes.
