Shahid Afridi has released a video apologising people of Pakistan for his team’s dismal performance in T20 World Cup.
Afridi says he seeks forgiveness from the people ofPakistan for not living up to their expectations.
"I don't care what other people say about me but I am answerable to you (people ofPakistan ),” he adds.
Afridi ran into trouble during the tournament for saying he found more love inIndia than in Pakistan . After his remark triggered an outrage back home, he tried to make up for that by thanking Kashmiri fans twice for their support, this time drawing outrage from Indian officials.
Afridi, who is currently inDubai , posted the video on his Twitter page. He is likely to be sacked as captain once he returns to the country.
