As the video below shows the four tried to have fun in their weird way by pelting big stones at the elephant, which was standing peacefully with its calf.
They had parked their car at Muthanga, National Highway 22, to entertain themselves by targeting the elephant. The video shot from another car went viral on social media alerting the forest officials.
It was not difficult to trace them as their car number had also been captured in the video.
The elephant eventually got enraged and gave them a chase making them flee, said a few media reports. The angry animal could have attacked other vehicles as well, which were passing by on the same road.
