It's not just Anant Ambani, international entertainer Shekhar Vijayan also lost weight remarkably recently.
Shekhar Vijayan weighed 125 kilos a year ago and carried a waistline of 46 inches.
All that weight took a toll – both physically and mentally.
At his in-laws home in Chennai, the commode on which he was sitting broke, though he blames it on the fixtures.
In the video below, Shekhar Vijayan explains how he shed 40 kgs of excess weight and transformed into a dashing youth, who can fit into his 16-year-old nephew’s clothes.
He started walking to build stamina and increased it gradually. He now runs 15 kms every day and mixes it with freehand exercises.
“I don’t need any sort of motivation I just love the sound of my shoes hitting the road or stairs and the sweat trickling down my body,” he told Better Story.
He brought his diet under strict control. Everything that is white in colour - salt, sugar, milk, idli, dosa, mayonnaise sauce, maida - got chucked.
“I don’t know the taste of rice…I have not tasted it for the last one year,” he says.
Junk and fried food is out, greens are in.
“I eat my breakfast like an Indian king, lunch like a middle class man and dinner like a pauper,” he says.
He now weighs 85 kgs and enjoys a waist size of 32 now.
