Sam Ferris, the Australian journalist who was bullied by India T20 captain Dhoni on live camera, has written about his ordeal.
Dhoni insisted that Sam Ferris sit next to him after he was asked about his retirement in the press conference that followed India loss to Windies in the T20 World Cup.
Dhoni asked Sam Ferris a series of questions and managed to make him say that India captain was fit enough to play till 2019.
Sam Ferris says the retirement question was fair as Dhoni had announced his retirement from test cricket abruptly. At 34, he is also inching towards the end of his career.
Sam Ferris further tried to soften the blow by starting the question with.".. You have achieved so much..."
But he says Dhoni knew the question was coming and came prepared to pounce upon anyone who asked it.
Quoting informal sports talk, Sam Ferris says Dhoni hates retirement talk and was expecting the question from an Indian journalist.
Sam Ferris, says by wading in, he took a a bullet for his Indian colleagues.
