A man threw his shoe at chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday when he was announcing the re-introduction of odd/even traffic in New Delhi.
The man, Ved Sharma, allegedly a member of the Aam Aadmi Sena, was detained after the incident.
After his shoe missed the target, Sharma tried to create a ruckus at the press conference though it was not clear what he was upset about.
He was escorted to safety as angry Kejriwal supporters tried to slap him.
Kejriwal has had a history of being heckled in public. Most recently, another alleged woman activist of Aam Admi Sena had thrown ink at him in January.
