Kottayam’s assistant collector Divya S Iyer, IAS has sung a song to create awareness and prompt people to vote in the forthcoming assembly election in Kerala.
The song has been recorded as part of a SVEEP (Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation) effort, an Election Commission of India initiative to promote voting in the country.
Unlike other bland songs that usually come from the government, Divya S Iyer’s song in Malayalam is catchy and hummable. As a recording video shows, she has sung it with zeal, not surprising as she has been an accomplished dancer and singer.
