The National Museum of Natural History (NMNH) in FICCI building in central Delhi was gutted by a massive fire on early Tuesday.
Forty fire engines were deployed to fight the fire in which six fire officials fell ill after inhaling excessive smoke during the four-hour operation to control the blaze.
Many exhibits like herpetological specimens and taxidermied animals have been gutted.
