A tiger climbed a tree to catch a monkey at Corbett park.
The tiger was perhaps hungry as it usually focuses on large preys and prefers to hunt on the ground.
A video, which is now going viral, shows the tiger already perched on a tree. A white-coloured langur its prey, is seen at the edge of the branches, which are weighed down by its weight.
The langur perhaps knows the tiger is too heavy to follow it to the edge.
A tense face-off follows with tiger pondering on its next move and the monkey hanging in desperation.
Its ploy works. As the tiger inches forward the branches swing down making it lose balance.
As the tiger falls, the monkey jumps to safety.
The rare video of a tiger hunt on tree has been shared by Corbett Wild-Ventures. It was possibly shot by a group of wildlife tourists, who amidst excited chatter, caution each other not to disturb the tiger.
