In an interaction organised by India TV and presided over by HRD Minister Smriti Irani, Congress leader Rashid Alvi called Narendra Modi, the world’s most stupid prime minister.
His source of information – Google or Gogle, as chose to pronounce it.
He said, if you typed keywords stupid prime minister, Google fetched Modi in its results.
Alvi’s comments were addressed to Smriti Irani but drew an angry response from some in the crowd, who loudly said Rahul Gandhi was stupid.
One of them tried to explain to Alvi that Google worked on an algorithm and whatever it showed need not be accepted as gospel of truth.
Smriti Irani, remarkably restrained by her own standards, said it was Congress culture to reward those who abused Modi and cautioned Alvi to behave himself.
She also took offence to Alvi saying he had heard that she was very close to Modi.
Referring to the innuendo, Smriti Irani objected to the way he had addressed her and said she live with such poison every day. During an interaction with Aaj Tak last year Smriti Irani had faced a similar comment.
Rashid Alvi, who had defected to Congress from BSP, had earlier created a controversy by comparing Modi to Yamraj.
