Porn surveys routinely state that lesbian love is a favourite category for many women.
While straight men may get turned off by gay sex, women seem to have an open mind. Dr. Satoshi Kanazawa an evolutionary psychologist at London School of Economics says women can flit across to being lesbian or bisexual or heterosexual easily.
In an article in the journal Biological Reviews he says women are evolutionarily designed to be sexually fluid.
In early societies polygamous marriages, involving one man and many females, were the norm. Wives would often have sex with each other to ‘reduce conflict and tension inherent in such marriages’.
Reducing conflict was key to make the man more amenable to having babies with them, says Dr. Satoshi Kanazawa.
Men were also ok with their women finding sexual gratification with each other than with men outside the marriage. That is the reason men are evolutionarily designed to enjoy other women having sex.
Lesbian love has been spotted in apes as well which are also polygamous. Recently, two female gorillas were photographed making love to each other.
