| A leopard snatched a family dog in Thane |

Aarti and Santosh Gupta, a couple from Thane area were horrified to see their CCTV footage capturing a leopard and her cub in their yard, next to their parked car.
The older leopard with glowing eyes, whose guarded movements appear to resemble a slow motion scene action from a movie, the Guptas learned on the morning of August 7th, had carried away Cocoa, their one-year old family pet Rottweiler.
India.com reports that this incident happened last week at Ghodbunder Road, Thane, in Mumbai, last week.
Such incidents aren't unusual in the area.
The residents claim that the forest department has not installed a fence at the nearby forest border despite repeated requests, which has contributed to the problem.
The captured CCTV footage also shows the leopard cub, which is however hardly interested in joining the mother in her hunt.
