Hindutva women's group Durga Vahini has landed in a new controversy by allegedly training its members in handling firearms at a self defence camp in Varanasi.
Last week, at a similar camp, alleged Bajrang Dal members were caught on camera using guns against fellow members, who were dressed in skull caps, in a mock drill.
Both Bajrang Dal and its sister organisation, Durga Vahini, offshoots of VHP, hold camps to train members in the art of self defence and to handle possible combat situations with terrorists.

Indian Express quoted a VHP office-bearer saying members were being trained on using airguns and lathis for self defence at the camp,
However, the police, who inspected the camp on Sunday, found no evidence of that.
"The police did not find anything objectionable. The women were being taught judo,” Varanasi IG S K Bhagat told the newspaper.
