Delhi Daredevils selected left arm medium pace bowler Pradeep Sangwan, instead of the budding batting star Virat Kohli in 2008, for the inaugural edition of IPL.
The age-heavy RCB under Rahul Dravid, which was looking to bolster the ranks of its youngsters, snapped up Virat Kohli and hung on to him.

As Sportskeedapoints out, both Virat Kohli and Pradeep Sangwan were in the 2008’s Under-19 team that won the World Cup, the same year IPL kicked off.
Each IPL franchise had the option of picking two Under-19 players for the inaugural edition.
