Eight armed robbers struck at a jewellery shop in Katihar, Bihar, in broad daylight, and looted jewellery worth over Rs one crore.
The daring robbery came two days after jewellers at Muzzaffarpur had shut shop and protested against the loot of gold worth around Rs 10 lakh from a gold trader.
Eight criminals came to the Radhe Shyam Soni Jewellery shop at Katihar at about 12.45 pm on Friday riding four bikes. While four of them stood guard outside, four men walked inside carrying bags and brandishing guns.

There were a few customers, including two women, in the shop at the time of the robbery. Police said they are probing the case.
At Muzaffarpur, criminals had intercepted a jeweller and his son who were riding home after closing down their shop for the day. They had snatched the gold at gunpoint and opened several rounds of fire to as well.
