Billiards star Pankaj Advani threw chunks of meat to trolls by congratulating Modi for winning the Unesco award  for best PM in the world.

As NewsCrunch had pointed out on Friday a hoax message had been circulating claiming that Modi had won a Unesco honour.

Among those who fell for it was Pankaj Advani, who has won 10 Billiard world titles, more than any other Indian.

In the tweet on Friday, Pankaj Advani congratulated Modi for being declared as the best PM in the world and tagged it to Modi, Unesco and PMO India.

Trolls, who have been targeting those celebrating Unesco award gossip, were suddenly presented with a juicy high-profile target. And they went after the Billiards champ relentlessly.

On Saturday, a wiser Pankaj Advani posted another tweet saying he had got his facts wrong. “…This apparently gets more attention than when I win a world title,” he commented.
