Indian Prime Minister Modi's Monday evening speech at Dubai Cricket Stadium covered a wide range of topics from terrorism to the welfare of the expats.
But more importantly. the speech will be remembered for the electrifying effect it had on the fully packed Dubai Cricket Stadium.
Indian expats in UAE had filled in almost two hours before Modi arrived and sustained a festive atmosphere through out braving the searing heat.
As Modi spoke, they cheered him on waving the Tri-Colour. The event, the focal point of the 2.6 million strong expat crowd in UAE, prompted even the local daily Khaleej Times to live blog the event.
Quoting a Twitter user Khaleej Times said Modi was a super hero for his supporters.
Dubai Cricket Stadium has a capacity of 25,000 spectators, but is expandable to 30,000.
