Celebrating life in death: RIP Seema Jaya Sharma (video below) |
An Indian origin woman in UK, Seema Jaya Sharma, left behind a final status message on her Facebook page just before she died: I got 21 seconds to go!!! hehe :P)
Seema Jaya Sharma succumbed to cancer last Friday, August 21st, after six long years of battling it.
The Mirror reports on how the model-singer continued to be a source of inspiration even after her passing away.
In her Facebook post, Seema specifically asks her friends and family not to mourn her death, but to celebrate her life.
Demanding that they all turn in their colourful best for her funeral, she tells them that she'll be there with them as they laugh and smile and have fun.
Seema Jaya Sharma was a resident of Ilford, Redbridge, United Kingdom.
She had been diagnosed all-clear three times, and in 2013, fronted a Cancer Research awareness campaign, after emerging victorious after another cancer attack.
Seema's funeral is scheduled for August 28th at London.
The first poem she wrote on how she broke the news of her cancer to her son Calvin and her song 'Alive' (both videos below) show us an exemplary, sensitive and courageous woman who took on life heads on despite all curveballs that were thrown her way.
