An all-women Dahi Handi team from Mumbai is scheduled to showcase their skill near the Golden Temple in Amritsar on September 6.
The women Govinda mandal team members practice hard and play safe. Their human pyramid would be limited to five-layers pyramid as they do not want to risk injuries.
Dahi Handi, a traditional sport in Maharashtra, is performed every year during Krishna Janmashtami.
It involves making a human pyramid and breaking an earthen pot filled with curd and tied at a height. This event is based on the legend of Krishna stealing butter.
Though a male bastion, there have been a growing number of all-women Govinda teams which are putting up an impressive show.
