Lucknow-origin founder of '5-hour Energy’  Manoj Bhargava is on a crusade to change the world and has committed over 90% of his fortune for the cause.

The energy drink company and other investments have earned him four billion dollars and a place in Forbes list of the world's super wealthy.

Born in 1954, Manoj Bhargava went to the US when he was 14. A Princeton University dropout, Manoj Bhargava, has come up in life the hard way. Before hitting jackpot in business, he worked in varied jobs - as construction labourer, cleaning contractor, accounting clerk, taxi driver, printing press operator and business manager.

He believes that people, who have more than what they need, should use their wealth to help those in need. He supports Giving Pledge, an organization that asks the mega-rich to use their wealth for positive change.

He set up the The Hans Foundation (THF), a charitable trust fund, in 2009, which has been supporting at least 151 organisation across Indian 25 states working in the areas of healthcare, education, disability, livelihood, water and sanitation.

In a new documentary “Billion in Change,” Manoj Bhargava talks about his Stage 2 Innovations laboratory in Farmington Hills, Michigan, which supports 100-or-so engineers, who are using simple technologies to take on challenges in water, energy and  health.
