In a heart-warming tale, aDelhi transgender person Krishna Singh, 16, has begun transforming into Naina with the support of her family, community and school.
AVasant Valley School student, Naina Singh, has started hormone replacement therapy and wears a salwar-kameez to school. She plans to undergo sex reassignment surgery after her Class XII exams, reports the Times of India.

The school principal was okay with her not wearing trousers, growing her hair and also using the nurse's loo. She has been registered with the CBSE as a transgender. There is support from relatives and close friends as well.

But it was not always not this easy for her and the family seems to have struggled to come to terms. The summer of 2014 brought depression and suicide attempts, says The Times of India, without elaborating.
