University of Texas at Austin students plan to protest against a new gun law by strapping gigantic swinging dildos to their backpacks.
More than 4,100 people have signed up for the campaign, which is titled #CocksNotGlocks, on Facebook so far.
To check campus shootings, Texas has passed a law that will allow licensed firearms owners to carry concealed handguns into campus. Pro-gun carry advocates say allowing concealed handguns on campus would enable people to defend themselves in case of an attack.
But the protesters say carrying guns would make campuses as safe as carrying dildos.
The #CocksNotGlocks protest is scheduled to take place on Aug. 24, 2016, the first day of next year's fall semester. The new gun law would also kick in on the same month.
