Deepika Chowdhury, the first Indian woman to win international competitions in figure athlete, pays special attention to her diet , which she says is more important than her work out.
The 31-year-old body builder leads a busy life playing a relentless triple role as a home maker, molecular biologist and a body builder. All that work especially her fitness regimen needs a lot of energy and she does eat a lot.
Her weekend shopping list comprises couple of kilos of chicken, loads of fish, red meat, vegetables, oats and a lot of other things.
While she eats a lot there is a method to it. Her proportions are fixed and she knows where her nutrition is coming from.
In a video she says she gets her proteins from fish, chicken and eggs. She also uses protein supplements in morning and after workout in the evening.
Brown rice, vegetables especially sweet potato are her sources of carbohydrates. She gets her fat from olive oil, nuts and peanut butter.
