Video: Watch wobbly ceiling fan falling on Lalu Prasad Yadav, who escapes with a light thud on shoulder

A ceiling fan fell on Lalu Prasad Yadav and hit him on the shoulder on Friday during an election rally in Motihari.

Lalu, who was not hurt, shrugged off the incident.

The RJD boss, who is upbeat about the prospect of his alliance with Nitish against BJP, was on a crowded makeshift stage preparing to address the crowd. The ceiling fan right above him was creaking, shaking and so wobbly TV cameras began to focus on it.

In the video below, you can see a man sitting behind Lalu looking up warily and closing his eyes. But Lalu was so engrossed he did not give it any attention and paid a small price.

The fan came down suddenly, hitting on Lalu’s shoulder. Though bothered a bit, Lalu shrugged it off and carried on campaigning.

The incident follows the collapse of Lalu’s campaign stage during an election rally in Arwal. Due to overcrowding a portion of the dais collapsed. Lalu, who was at another side of the wooden dais, again escaped unhurt.
