Almost official: Kareena Kapoor Khan to act in Pakistani movie – to be directed by Shoaib Mansoor

Bollywood top actress Kareena Kapoor Khan is set to announce that she would be acting in a Pakistani movie, to be directed by acclaimed director,  Shoaib Mansoor.

Though Pakistani artists frequently feature in Bollywood, it would be a first for a major Bollywood name to act in a Pakistani film.

Mid Day reports that Kareena Kapoor will be off to Dubai next week to meet Mansoor for a formal script narration and sign the movie. She has already read and liked the script, which has a women-oriented theme.

Reports also suggest the movie would be produced by Krishika Lulla of Eros, who has also made the upcoming Shah Rukh Khan movie Dilwale.

Pakistan's film industry, which makes a dozen movies a year, would be too small to handle a major Bollywood name. It would possibly be made as a crossover film to ensure it finds good reception in Indiaas well.

One of Mansoor’s earlier films Khuda Kay Liye had featured Indian actor Naseeruddin Shah and released in about 100 screens in India.
