March of India protesters showed their anger against media and heckled NDTV reporter Bhairavi Singh during their march to Rashtrapathi Bhavan on Saturday.
The marchers, led by Bollywood veteran Anupam Kher, have launched a counter protest against the campaign against intolerance. They blamed the media for biased coverage and alleged that small issues were being blown up.
They carried placards, which named and condemned several newspapers such as The Indian Express and The Times of India.
A few protesters surrounded NDTV's Bhairavi Singh, who was covering the march and abused her. The reporter and her crew were also reportedly pushed around, prompting a police team to throw a protective ring around the crew.
NDTV is among the media companies the March for India supporters love to hate as they think it is biased against them.
The video below taken by an eyewitness, shows Bhairavi Singh walking with police protection, with the crowd targeting and shouting slogans against her.
Anupam Kher reportedly apologised later for the roughing up of the journalists.
