The Central Railway official suspended a ticket booking clerk in Mumbai whose tiff with a customer had been captured in a viral video.
The video shows a customer objecting to the clerk counting money instead of issuing tickets. Both lose temper and as the argument escalates, she tries to shut down the counter, drawing protest from other customers.
The incident had occurred at Lokmanya Tilak Terminus a few days ago.
The Times of India quotes a senior Railways official that an inquiry had been ordered against the clerk and a sensitisation programme would be launched to improve staff behaviour.
