If you thought Bahubali was was a visual spectacle, the lavish sets that have been erected to host richest Malauyalee Ravi Pillai's daughter's wedding are bigger.
Dr Aarathi weds Dr Adithya Vishnu in Kollam on Thursday, an event that will be graced by 30,000 guests including Gulf royalty, politicians, CEOs and bureaucrats.
Ravi Pillai, who is worth $ 3 billion, has left nothing to chance and hired the best, including Baahubali production designer Sabu Cyril to erect the sets at Asramam ground in Kollam.
While the sets have been a closely guarded secret, a video gives a sneak preview. Inspired by Rajasthani royal architecture, the set is a collection of palaces.
The Babhubali palace reportedly covered an area of five acres while Dr Aarathi's wedding set is spread over eight acres.
It took more than 75 days for a team of 200 professionals led by Sabu Cyril to set it up. It will take 15 more just to dismantle it, says The Times of India.
