Nitish Ministers - Five graduates, four postgraduates, three hold PhDs, five are professional graduates. |
A recent viral post, which described all of Nitish Kumar Government's ministers in Bihar as illiterates or semi-literates, is fake.
The post had begun circulating immediately after Nitish cabinet was formed.
The Times of India reports that of the 28 ministers in the government, 17 have graduate or higher degrees.
Five are graduates, four postgraduates, three hold PhDs and five are professional graduates.
The viral post said Ministers Madan Mohan Jha and Ashok Choudhary had studied only up to class 7 and 10. They have PhD degrees.
The Times of India based its report on an analysis made by Bihar Election Watch (BEW) and Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR), which in turn had collected data from election affidavits.
