In the gutter-dredging section of the media, of which your favourite NewsCrunch is an honourable member, hunting for viral content is a livelihood issue.
Anything that smells of viral, sniff, we pounce and latch on, liberally flicking off ideas from each other.
But writer and ex-dance judge Chetan Bhagat's plight is that nobody seems to be interested in watching his dancing performance despite the sheer comical value in it.
The esteemed judge of Nach Baliye 7 gave a live show on Sunday night during the final act. He descended on the stage on a prop and began stamping his hoof. He was surrounded by professional dancers, who tolerated his awkward movements and feku steps.
They finally ended his agony by lifting him out of the stage.
Chetan Bhagat has been tweeting saying that he would be dancing for the first time and was terrified at the prospect. He practiced under professional guidance for up to three hours a day.
None of that mattered and on the D-day the man was a total let down.
It must have taken some thick skin to put on a show like that. And that is something Chetan Bhagat is blessed with. After his last week's article on the sexually frustrated bhakts, he was trolled mercilessly.
But none of that made any impact as he continued to train to deliver a totally non-viral performance.
