A video of Tamil Nadu Congress leader V Narayanaswamy holding slippers for Rahul Gandhi has gone viral.
A former Minister of State at PMO, V Narayanaswamy is a former MP from Puducerry, where Rahul Gandhi has gone to visit flood-hit areas.
The video shows Rahul Gandhi removing his shoes to walk barefoot in flood water. V Narayanaswamy is also seen in the frame holding slippers, which he offers to him.
The video drew angry comments from people who thought it was a disgrace that a 68-year-old man offered was so servile to a 45-year-old relative youngster.
He also pointed out that he was not holding Rahul Gandhi’s slippers but his own, which he offered to the visiting leader.
V Narayanaswamy also said Rahul Gandhi preferred to carry his shoes himself and did not let even security personnel carry them.
