From fat to fit - Parineeti Chopra shares fitness secrets behind her new look (15 photos)

In an interview, last year, Parineeti Chopra admitted that she was so overweight designer clothes did not fit her anymore. Alia Bhatt went on record saying that her good friend Parineeti Chopra did not have a sense of style.

That image for  Bollywood actor was suicidal. Now, fast forward a year.

On Wednesday, Parineeti Chopra posted 15 photos of her new lean and mean look, which has taken the Internet by storm. There is not an ounce of fat on her body and more importantly, she looks far more energetic and focused.

Parineeti Chopra says she took just 9 months to make a total transformation.  So, what's her fitness secret.

1) Diet

She threw out the junk food, not a small move for someone who loved pizza. A healthy but simple diet regimen was brought in.

Breakfast – Brown bread with butter, sugar-free milk, two egg whites etc.

Lunch – Brown rice, dal, roti, green veggies etc.

Dinner – Low fat foods cooked in little oil, sugar-free milk, chocolate shake etc.

2) Exercise

A major part of Parineeti Chopra's problem was that she hated exercise and would have got bored in gym. So, she picked up a variety of fitness activities - jogging, running, dancing, swimming, horse riding and yoga.

She also started meditation sessions to help her focus, relax and develop a positive attitude. She also tried kalaripayitu though seems to have dropped it.

This is how a typical day in the life of Parineeti Chopra looks like: 



Starting the day with jogging

Meditation

Doing yoga for an hour

Involving into activities that she likes, such as swimming and horse riding

Running on treadmill

Using some deadly dance moves to kill those extra calories along with improving her dance skills

Cardio and regular exercise

The results are there to see. She no longer weighs 86 kgs. Her clothes have dropped from size 38 to size 30. And it took just 9 months.
