Among all time great myths on sex, hymen takes a prized place.
It is supposedly a thin membrane that covers the vagina, only to rupture when women have sex.
So, in many cultures an intact hymen is a virginity indicator. Many concede that normal daily activities such as running may also lead to its rupture.
Nothing is farther from truth.
