December 10, 2015, NewsCrunch
The Bombay High Court on Thursday acquitted Salman Khan of all charges in the 2002 hit-and-run case.
On September 28, 2002, Salman Khan's car had rammed into a bakery shop in Bandra, killing one person and injuring four others.
On September 28, 2002, Salman Khan's car had rammed into a bakery shop in Bandra, killing one person and injuring four others.
He had been earlier sentenced to five years imprisonment by a sessions court.
Justice A R Joshi said prosecution failed to establish its case against Salman Khan. The police had botched up investigation and made errors in recording evidence and gathering witnesses.
On hearing the verdict, Salman broke down.
But Twitter was not convinced on Salman Khan’s innocence. Though no one ascribed any motive to the judge, the police and prosecution came under attack for shoddy work.
