A Congress protest went badly wrong in Shimla on Monday when a few of them got injured while burning an effigy of PM Modi.
The Congress workers were protesting the alleged hounding of Sonia and Rahul Gandhi in the National Herald case. They were also reportedly not happy with CBI and ED pursuing the corruption case against former CM Virbhadra Singh.
A video accessed by ABP News shows Congress workers pouring oil to Modi’s effigy and setting a match to it. As the effigy suddenly bursts into flames, many of them in the vicinity catch fire.
Though others rushed to douse the fire, two Congress workers are said to be in serious condition.
